How SaaS Traffic Really Works

Today I was watching a presentation by email copywriting expert, Ian Stanley.

He was talking about leverage and said,

“Let’s say that your salesletter is currently making $100,000 a month.

Well, it just so happens that a 20% little lift in that salesletter allows you to buy 5 to 10 times more traffic.

That’s how things work. That’s how traffic works.

You hit something called the ‘traffic cliff.’”

He was talking about Facebook traffic and other display networks, but I’ve been teaching the same thing about PPC for years.

(In fact, chapter 4 of my new report The SaaS Multiplier Method is called How to get 15 times as many clicks.)

That’s because, in Google Ads, if your ad shows at the top of the page – the top 4 ads – you’ll get 8-15 times as many clicks than if it shows at the bottom of the page.

And this means, if you increase the value of a PPC visitor – e.g. by improving the conversion rate of your landing pages – you can afford to raise your bids, move your ad up the page, and get a huge bump in traffic.

All the best,
